Analytify and GDPR Compatibility

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an EU legislation that is meant to give EU citizens more control over their personal information. It says that businesses must protect the privacy and personal information of EU people when they do business within EU member states.

Analytify, a famous analytics plugin for WordPress, makes it easier for users to be GDPR-compliant by giving them features that help them follow the rules. This knowledge base piece tells you how to make sure Analytify is GDPR compatible and how to use a GDPR cookies plugin with Analytify.

Analytify and GDPR Compatibility

Analytify understands the importance of GDPR and offers features that comply with its guidelines. Here are some of the key GDPR-related features in Analytify:

Anonymize IP: This feature allows you to anonymize the IP addresses of your visitors. It means that Google Analytics will not store the complete IP address of the visitors to your site. Read more, How To Anonymize The IP Addresses for GDPR Compliance?

Privacy and Policy: For in-detail understanding, read What personal data we collect and why we collect it.

Implementing the GDPR Cookies Plugin with Analytify

Implementing the GDPR cookies plugin with Analytify on your website is no longer a hard task. Analytify is fully compatible with the popular GDPR plugins.

You will be able to use  Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR / CCPA and GDPR Cookie Consent plugins on the go without any further configurations with Analytify.

If you are using the Complianz plugin, then a bit of configuration is needed to be done.

All you need to do is follow the recommended steps below:

Step 1: Enabling Google Analytics Statistics in Complainz

Login to your WordPress site and navigate to Complainz >> Wizard >> Consent >> Statistics.

Next, select Google Analytics under the Statics option and click on Save and Continue.

There you don’t need to enter the tracking ID in Enter your tracking-ID field, as Analytify itself will handle this.
