How to Setup Email Notifications Addon

Email notifications are a useful way to keep track of how your website is doing. They let you keep an eye on important analytics data without constantly logging into your Google Analytics account or WordPress dashboard.

Analytify, a popular Google Analytics plugin for WordPress, has an Email Notifications Addon that can make this process easy and smooth.

In this post, from our knowledge base documentation, we’ll show you step-by-step how to add the Email Notification Addon from Analytify to your WordPress site. These steps allow you to get email updates about your website’s performance, including metrics like sessions, users, and page views.

Prerequisites

Setting Up Email Notifications Addon

You can select your own metrics e.g.

  • General Statistics: This metric gives an overview of important website data like the number of visits, the number of unique users, the average time spent on the site, the bounce rate, and so on.
  • Top Pages: This metric ranks the pages of your site based on how many people visit each page. This shows which pages are the most popular or viewed.
  • Geographic Stats: This tells you where in the world your visitors are, which can help you tailor your marketing and content to certain areas.
  • Top Pages Stats: This gives you more information about your most famous pages, like how long people stay on them on average, how often they leave, etc.
  • Social Media Stats: This shows how many people are coming to your site from different social media sites and which ones bring the most traffic.
  • Keywords Statistics: This shows you what your audience is looking for and how they’re finding you based on the search terms that bring them to your site.

Select any metric which you want to include in your email reports. As shown below:

Then save these changes, and your reports will be sent to the receiver weekly or monthly.

Step 4: Explore the Test Email Feature

After saving changes, you can explore the Test Email feature. It allows you to test and fine-tune your email notifications before sending them to the required persons. This function is intended to ensure that your emails are sent properly.

This feature is very helpful when setting up your email notifications for the first time or when making changes to the email templates or text. By sending test emails, you can see how your emails will look and make sure that all of their parts, like text formatting, images, links, and personalization factors, are working properly.

Moreover, by testing the delivery process, you can find and fix any possible deliverability problems, like content triggers that may trigger spam filters.

That’s it. We hope you find it easy to set up the Email Notifications Addon from Analytify on your WordPress site.

If you have any problems with the Email Notifications add-on, look at the FAQs on the Analytify website or contact the Analytify support team.
